ELC Services We Provide:

• We perform all aspects of ELC surveying
• Vegetation identification and description
• Soil analysis
• Air photo interpretation
• GPS and GIS mapping of forest habitats
• Forest ecosystem classification (FEC)
• Classification of forested areas according to the Forest Ecosystem Classification of Ontario

Our Experience in Ecosystem Land Classification (ELC)

• Trained by the Ministry of Natural Resources in ELC
• Completed ELC sampling in all wetland and forested areas within 5km of the Trent-Severn Waterway, from Lake Ontario, throughout Central Ontario, to Georgian Bay
• Paul Heydon:
  • Has two years experience as leader of an ELC crew for Parks Canada
  • Trainer for ELC students at MNR one-year training course
  • ELC Team Leader at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)
